Terms and privacy

Service agreement, payments, intellectual property, confidentiality, cookies and privacy. Last updated: October 2026.

1. Scope of services

These terms apply to the software engineering services of Carlos Castillo (cmaxhm): fullstack development, consulting and support, under the Flexible (hourly) or Monthly plans.

2. Payments and invoicing

Flexible: billed from the weekly time reports, with a small upfront payment. Monthly: a fixed monthly rate agreed in advance, billed once a month. Prices in COP for clients in Colombia and in USD for international clients, before taxes.

3. Pauses, refunds and cancellations

You can pause or cancel at any time and pay only for the work done. A monthly plan can be canceled for the following month.

4. Intellectual property and code

Once paid in full, the code and deliverables built for you are yours. Open-source libraries keep their own licenses.

5. Confidentiality and portfolio

Your information is confidential. I only show work in my portfolio with your permission.

6. Scope changes

Changes to the agreed scope are estimated in writing before the work starts. Any change along the way can be discussed so it does not compromise the scope already in progress.

7. Cookies and privacy
